Thank You and Goodnight

Apologies for the tardiness of this - I took off with my kids for a whole month with no internet. That's as refreshing as jumping in the sea and just as energising, too. It's taking me a while to catch up with my life online, to read what's been written and see what's been happening.

Having said that, life online is real and perhaps it's meta-real when you connect with your community and share something as strong as poetry together.

Thanks to the poets on 365+1 I felt a strong sense of community that is missing in the daily act of writing poetry. Others have said it well; the thrill of being read; the challenge of writing even though the baby wasn't sleeping and no ordinary tasks completed; the wonder as words and work appeared from unexpected dark, delightful places; the excitement of seeing work translated; the full belly feel of reading all that fresh work. I cherished my three months along for the ride. Thanks Sarah SVW for inviting me. Thanks Kit for all the work involved. Thanks to the poets to commented and encouraged and read and fed me with your poems.
